Student Information Systems are software systems which are networked to help educators keep track of student, class, and school data to maintain records and support decision making (Roblyer, 2006).
Some benefits of using the systems are:
- Maintain records on students' demographic data
- Track and report attendance
- Track and report test scores
- Easy registration of students for classes online or offline
- Notification purposes
As some schools within Trinidad and Tobago become modernized, they see the relevance of utilizing these systems software. Therefore, as teachers we ought to make ourselves familiar with computer technology in education.
